Ok, so it only took 3 months to get to these but better late then never. My talented photographer friend, Janet Bailey came over to do some fun shots of my baby girl in the kitchen sink. If you have a baby, this is just one of those shots you have to get. They grow so fast, it’s nice to be able to look back and see just how small they were. These were taken before Kaja could walk, otherwise I think she would have climbed right out of there. As you can see, she did try!

In a half hour, Janet was able to capture some pretty sweet moments that we will cherish forever. Thanks Janet!

For the long weekend, we headed up north with little Kaja and the pooch. The car ride up was amazing – barely any tears. The car ride back however, was a bit more traumatic. Lesson learned: never put Kaja in a car between 4:30pm – 6pm, it’s not her most tolerant time of the day. Other than that, we had a very relaxing few days. The weather was perfect and the lake, nice a warm. Monday was Canada’s birthday, which we celebrated with an evening boat ride and a 9pm bedtime. All that fresh air is exhausting! I feel very blessed to have that little cabin to get away to. It’s important to get out of the city and commune with nature, don’t you think?

My very talented friend, Janet Bailey, took some photos of Kaja a few weeks back and I’m so thrilled with how they turned out. Aren’t they just precious? My baby girl is growing so fast and has already changed so much since these were taken, it’s crazy. I can’t believe she’ll be 9 months in a couple of weeks. 9 months! Where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday I was cradling a newborn… That’s why I’m so grateful to Janet for capturing these fleeting moments of her infancy so beautifully.
